Overview
A tabletop roleplaying game for 1 GM and 2-4 players, about park rangers hunting eldritch trees.
Numenwood National Park was established in the forest crater where an eldritch god fell to Earth. Strange, haunted trees grow from the soil. Hikers and researchers disappear with increasing frequency.
You are park rangers, staffing the newly re-established Ranger Station at the edge of the crater. You’ll need to find missing hikers, fell haunted trees, and manage the station’s funding in order to last long enough to uncover the park’s secrets.
Simple, narrative roleplaying campaign
The GM (Game Master) guides players through the campaign using simple rules that encourage narrative roleplaying. Uncertainty and danger are resolved using d20+bonus rolls.
Explore the park
Players navigate through a map of the park, encountering strange creatures, items, and phenomena. Each excursion has limited daylight; when it runs out, players return to the ranger station to upgrade it and improve their characters through stat and gear upgrades.
Chop down eldritch trees
A host of strange numentrees with unique (and sometimes reality-warping) effects await discovery by the players, presenting atypical "boss fight" puzzle encounters.
